Microfiber is hands-down one of our favorite janitorial supplies in St Louis for a multitude of reasons:
- It outlasts other cleaning cloths, saving you money.
- It’s better for the environment because it cleans with water instead of harmful chemicals.
- It can remove up to 99% of bacteria on surfaces.
However, it is important to remember that not all microfiber is the same. Bargain microfiber only has about 50,000 fibers per square inch. While that may sound like a lot, it actually isn’t — high-quality microfiber cloths can have over 3 million fibers per inch! That makes a huge difference in how well your cloths clean and how long they last. Bargain microfiber, for example, may only hold up to 50 washings, while high-quality microfiber can last for 300!
How does it work?
All those tiny fibers lift and hold bacteria, grime, dirt, liquids and grease. A mix of negative-charged nylon fibers and positive-charged polyester fibers work together to attract and hold grime from a variety of surfaces.
Types of microfiber janitorial supplies in St Louis
Microfiber is used today to enhance a huge variety of janitorial supplies. In our catalog, you’ll find microfiber dust mop heads, cleaning cloths, high dusters, floor finish application kits, scrubbers, wet pads and more!
How should I use it?
Maximize the cleaning power of your microfiber cloths by using only one section at a time. Fold the cloth in half twice to create eight surfaces for cleaning (using both sides of the cloth).
Use a dry cloth for dusting and dampen it for other chores. Once you notice the cloth leaving behind lint or dirt, re-fold to clean with a fresh section.
How do I clean it?
When you are done cleaning, rinse the cloth using warm water for about 15 seconds to get rid of the dirt. Once dry, you can use the cloth again.
If you clean with microfiber cloths daily, toss them in the washing machine once a week. Stay away from fabric softener that can clog the fibers and bleach that will damage them. Check the care label on your cloth for drying instructions.
