Next, block the entryway to the restroom with your janitorial cart or place a “close for cleaning” sign on the door. Don your gloves and safety glasses and any other necessary personal protective equipment, then remove any objects around the toilet that may impede cleaning.

Put the toilet seat down, then flush the toilet. Squirt your toilet bowl cleaner under the rim of the toilet and let it sit while you clean the toilet’s exterior.
