Stop COVID at the Door With These Floor Mats
Customers, tenants, clients and residents are looking for reassurances that public spaces are safe to enter during the coronavirus pandemic, and they want to know that building operators are doing everything they can to clean and disinfect shared spaces. First impressions start at the door, and so does one of the best ways to protect your visitors from coronavirus.
Floors are one of the greatest hosts of bacteria and viruses, and they make spreading them easy. Think about all the common objects that may touch your floors and be handled later, like carts, shoes, purses, bags and more. Disinfecting your floors can help, but what if you can stop the virus from even entering your building?
While no solution can provide 100% protection against coronavirus, M+A Matting ’s StepWell Sanitizing Mats can go a long way toward reducing transmission in your facility.
This all-in-one solution for safely sanitizing shoes features a 2’x3’ well the holds an abrasive insert and your favorite liquid sanitizer followed by a 3’x5’ carpeted section to help remove excess moisture from shoes.
The insert serves as a slash guard and helps dislodge any dirt or debris from the bottom of shoes so the disinfectant solution can reach the entire sole surface. We highly recommend using a quaternary and hydrogen peroxide sanitizing solution for best results.
Where should I use StepWell mats?
These mats are perfect for any space where increased protection from germs is important, including healthcare facilities, childcare centers and food processing plants.
How should I clean my mat?
The life of your StepWell insert will depend on the amount of foot traffic it receives. Replace your insert when it begins to show signs of wear.
We recommend cleaning the well and insert weekly. Simply wipe the well down and allow to air dry. The insert can be hosed off or rinsed in a sink.
The carpeted portion should be vacuumed regularly (daily in high-traffic areas) and cleaned with an extractor or hosed off once a week.
